My dad used the Home from Home facility last year to stay close to my mum in her final days after she was admitted to Walton following a substantial brain haemorrhage. She didn't respond to the treatment she had in Intensive Care and so she was supported in her last days on the ward. Because of Home form Home, dad fulfilled his promise to not leave mum on her own and was next to her when she died in the early hours of the morning. We are so grateful to the families and individuals who fundraised before us so that this facility was available to change our experience. We will do the same for the next family. Ffion Prothero
