I was born with Epilepsy and as I got older I was at risk of SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) due to the medication not controlling MY seizures. In 2021 I took the decision to try corrective surgery and Mr Farrah became my Consultant Surgeon, at the Walton Centre, Liverpool. I underwent an invasive EEG in 2021 and on 31/01/2022 I underwent brain surgery, where a benign tumour was found and safely removed. I haven't had a seizure since, I now work for the NHS and on 01/08/2026 I get married to Owen, who has been by my side through the bad times and now the greatest of times. I may not have had this opportunity were it not for Mr Farrah and the Walton Centre Keire Lightfoot
