I'm fundraising for The Walton Centre Charity, specifically the Horsley Intensive Care Unit where I work as an intensive Care Consultant. Our unit looks after patients with significant brain and spine injury and sometimes these patients can have very long stays in Intensive Care. This can be a lonely, frustrating and depressing time for people who were often independent and living their lives before their whole life changed.

Finding ways to allow them to access entertainment and communication with loved ones and the outside world keeps their spirits up. This increases their engagement with rehabilitation and physiotherapy and reduces their risk of delirium and other complications. For this I'm fundraising to help provide items to support communication and rehabilitation for our patients and families.
