Hi, we're Jen & Alice, the daughter & granddaughter of Anne Grist who recently gained her wings at The Walton Centre. We both love a walking challenge, knowing that every step we take is helping a great cause. Very soon we will be dusting off our walking shoes to walk 100,000 steps across the month of May in loving memory of our beautiful Anne "with an e".

For us, fundraising for The Walton Centre Charity in memory of our mum & nanna is a very special way of remembering and celebrating her life. She taught us more about strength and love than she'll ever realise, and we are forever proud of her!!

Our mum & nanna arrived at The Walton Centre on 16th January 2025 for an operation on a Skull Base Meningioma. Her smile never ceased to shine whilst in the expert care of the highly skilled critical care nurses and specially trained critical care practitioners. It took 88 days for heaven to gain an angel and a piece of our hearts.

We are fundraising for The Walton Centre Charity and hope to raise £100 for wherever the need is greatest. This includes Home from Home, which is provided free to families who need it. It costs the Charity approximately £50,000 per year to run the unit. All donations make a real difference to patients and their families treated at The Walton Centre now and in the future.

The Walton Centre in Liverpool offers a world class neuroscience service which includes many pioneering techniques, cutting edge treatments; and clinicians who are international leaders in their field. Over 100,000 patients are treated at the hospital each year with conditions ranging from head and spinal trauma injuries; brain and spine tumours; Epilepsy, MS, Motor Neurone Disease and Parkinson.

The Charity funds a variety of projects in the hospital including research, innovation, new technology and patient & family facilities. Jen Crewe
