When Nikki was first admitted to The Walton Centre after the discovery of her brain tumour I had spoken to Samantha at the charity centre about raising funds. After a successful surgery and recovery, Nik was unfortunately readmitted 10 days after being discharged with severe swelling in her face. She ended up taking 3 seizures and being placed in intensive care followed by emergency surgery. Without the care, knowledge and fast acting staff at The Walton Centre I have no doubt she wouldn't be here today!
Nik then spent 3 and 1/2 weeks in the hospital being treated for Meningitis. The care and attention I saw on a daily basis from all members of staff was second to none. Whilst Nik was in intensive care I stayed in the Home from home accommodation which is all charity funded. It helps family members with a place to stay whilst their loved ones are receiving treatment.

All funds raised during the challenges I undertake will be split between the Home from home accommodation and the Neuro Oncology Fund.
As stated before the Home from Home is an amazing place family members can stay whilst loved ones receive treatment and solely relies on charity funding. The home from home is a life line for family members that live far away from the hospital and means family members can be close to their loved ones.
The Neuro Oncology Fund helps provide pioneering research and life saving equipment for the hospital. Without vital funds being raised and donated none of this would be available to patients and their families.

So on with what I will be doing to raise funds and a brief explanation why.....

I will be starting my challenges in Ibiza as it has played a huge part in mine and Nikki's life and somewhere we find ourselves returning each year. I will be running the Ibiza marathon in April 2025.

In the UK over 19,000 people are diagnosed with brain tumors every year! Roughly 3,200 of these tumors are Meningiomas which is what Nik was diagnosed with. I plan to cycle 3,200 miles from April to September before finishing the year and fundraising off with completing an Ironman in Tenby, September 2025!

Along with these challenges we plan on arranging some more events to raise as much money as we can for this amazing charity. More details will be provided along the way.

For now, I will be training for the mammoth tasks I have ahead of me and will be documenting my journey along the way. You can follow me and keep updated on
