A special invitation for our Head of Fundraising! Our very own Madeleine Fletcher, Head of Fundraising for The Walton Centre Charity (pictured here with her husband), was invited to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party this month in recognition of her career in NHS fundraising at both The Walton Centre, and Alder Hey, and with the Barrie Wells Trust. Madeleine, who has been at The Walton Centre Charity for over 10 years, said: "I was so surprised when I got the invite to attend the garden party. I love working for NHS charities. At The Walton Centre, we're a small team and you feel really close to the impact of our amazing fundraisers and donors. You get to meet the patients and see directly where the money you have helped to raise goes, and the difference it's making. It's so rewarding. To be recognised for this work was really humbling, and I had a lovely day!" We are delighted to see Madeleine's outstanding contribution to NHS fundraising recognised in this way. Her passion for making a difference to the lives of patients and families has been at the heart of her work throughout her career, and this invitation to Buckingham Palace is a fitting tribute to her dedication and achievements.
