From Surgery to Steps - 200K for Walton Donate My Mum and I are fundraising for The Walton Centre Charity because I had brain surgery for Chiari Malformation & Syringomyelia there at the beginning of this year. The home from home facilities meant that my Dad could stay nearby, while my mum stayed on the ward with me, which made for a more positive recovery. This was very helpful for us as a family since we live over an hour from the hospital. We are helping to raise money by doing our part to give back for the support we were given at this time.We are doing 200k steps (100K each) over the month of May, which is a lot for us as I suffer from the daily symptoms of Syringomyelia (scoliosis, lower back pain, neck pain, legs pain) and my Mum suffers from breathing problems. So for us, 100k steps isn't easy, but its nothing compared to what people suffering from neuro problems go through. So if you can, please support us - every donation helps the Walton Centre continue the amazing work they do for patients like me. - Hope and Donna Parkinson About The Walton Centre: The Walton Centre in Liverpool offers a world class neuroscience service which includes many pioneering techniques, cutting edge treatments; and clinicians who are international leaders in their field.
