Last month we were joined by our wonderful community of supporters and peers to celebrate another year of our wonderful Jan Fairclough Summer Lunch event!

Guests at the Summer LunchGuests, supporters, and pop-up shops joined us for a beautiful afternoon filled with friendship, laughter, and truly moving moments — all in support of our Home from Home accommodation here at The Walton Centre. The presence and generosity of our community helped us raise an amazing £7,700 to support the accommodation — keeping families close to loved ones in hospital, when they need it most.Claire Simmo at the event

A huge thank you to Fletchers Solicitors for once again sponsoring this special event and to The Grand Southport for hosting us for another year. We also want to say a massive thank you to our brilliant host Claire Simmo, who brought so much energy and warmth to the afternoon.

We were also very lucky to be joined by the incredible Dave Broe, whose entertainment lit up the room, and the spectacular Holly Ellison, who surprised us all with a stunning impromptu duet — what an unforgettable performance!

Thank you to everyone who donated prizes and experiences for our raffle and auction, and to all our wonderful pop-up shops for adding a little sparkle to the day.

Entertainment at the event

And of course, the most moving part of the afternoon... thank you to Sophie Fairclough, Rylee Foster, Debi Jones and Professor Paul May for sharing such powerful, personal stories about what The Walton Centre means to them and why our cause is so important to so many. You reminded us all exactly why we do what we do.
We left with full hearts and huge gratitude for our supporters. We truly can’t wait to see you all again next year for another unforgettable Summer Lunch!
